Neem & Kukui Nut Oils (Ingredients)

Neem oil – Time 2 Love Myself, LLC use 100% pure cold pressed unrefined virgin neem oil USA Organic.

Neem oil is an extract from the leaf, fruits, and seeds of the neem tree. This oil has a very distinct odor, sometimes described as musky or garlicky. Is rich in fatty acids, such as palmitic, linoleic, and oleic acids (e.g., Omega6-3 and 9). Also, has antiseptic, anti-fungal, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. Due to these properties its said (based on some studies performed, mostly in cell lines or animals) that helps balancing the skin oil production, stimulating, and treating pimples and acne, psoriasis, and eczema. Also, is rich in, helping the natural production of collagen.

Generally, is safe to apply neem oil on the skin. It can cause allergic reactions, such as contact dermatitis. Therefore, it is recommended to try any product containing neem on a small patch of skin before using it on the whole body. If the skin becomes red, inflamed, or itchy, or develops hives or rash after the patch test is recommended to stop using the product immediately.

Some soap makers disguise the strong neem odor with fragrances; but, in our case, we try to hide the odor by mixing neem oil with other carrier oils like coconut and kukui nut oil, and essential oils like tea tree, rosemary, and/or lavender.
